City Center Australia

I was thoroughly excited when Glenn Thomas asked me to lend him a hand with this project for The GPT Group, a leading property developer in Australia.

The GPT Group created the Rouse Hill Town Centre in 2007 and is now expanding the property. During conceptualization and construction, they needed some illustration to excite the community and ensure the beauty of the future of the area.

Glenn and I worked with the agency Born & Raised to visualize what this new development will bring. The illustrations were rolled out throughout the centre in large scale print execution as well as the digital landscape.

Glenn and my process here was very fluid and enjoyable. From concept to finalizing, we each had a hand in the drawings and renderings.

Glenn's style inspired the artwork. He and I handed files back and forth at concept and picked up where one another got tired of certain aspects. Splitting a project is a reinvigorating chance to share the highs and lows.

Some of the biggest challenges for myself were staying on model of reference. The client wanted to show off how the town center would look after the work is done, and therefore getting a little technical during the sketch phase was a somewhat unusual necessity.
