ABOUT KIRK

I stumbled into illustration after graduating with a degree in engineering. Raised by the internet, the first graphics I created were avatars and signatures for online forums.

It was right around the time of graduation I realized visual art was something I actually felt passionate for.

Now, between skateboarding, chasing the dogs, and some table hockey, I spend my time making meaningful and thoughtful illustration and animation for brands and myself every day.

WHAT I MAKE

I work on special projects that are emotionally driven and need attention to detail.
Here’s a few applications where that approach of working has manifested.

HOW I MAKE IT

Everything is Special

I bring value by overthinking and simplifying the results. Every detail should be considered, from the clothing of characters to the touch and feel of the paper for packaging.

Emotional Connections

I create pieces that tie into real-world emotions. Sometimes they are whimsical, other times more grounded. Regardless the result feels relatable and human, even if we’re drawing balls of yarn with eyeballs.

Growing Together

I work with startups and have helped them grow from ten employees to hundreds. I still work on special projects with almost 100% of my clients today.

Input Output

Getting out of the studio is as important as drawing. Every project begins with a lot of meditation and time offline. A concoction of influences from wide and far make for the best product.

Trust the Process

Having conversations up front help me fully understand the project. From there, I value trust from clients as things start rolling forward.

CONTACT, YES!

I like talking, speaking, chatting, and screaming, so let me know what you’ve got in mind for collaboration. A hello, or hate mail is fine too, thanks so much :smooch:
